"Four Gravities" is an interactive media project that displays a series of computationally generated animations that are based of the play of gravity on different scales: planetary, industrial, botanical, and cellular. Each animation grows and behaves according to it\'s own generative logic, but is interrupted with new actions every time a viewer opens the Culver Center doors. Michael Kontopoulos is an artist-inventor interested in constructing mechanical systems and tools for exploring the poetics of everyday experience. Born in Philadelphia, Michael has lived and worked in Philadelphia, Pittsburgh and Los Angeles and has exhibited his work at various galleries, festivals and conferences in the US, Asia and Europe.
