The 2007 German-Turkish film THE EDGE OF HEAVEN, written and directed by Fatih Akin, shows the complex and interwoven nature of German-Turkish relations. A story intertwining two mothers, two daughters, a father and a son, shows their personal connections draw closer all the while pulling their geographical boundaries further apart.
