A young couple is hosting a housewarming party that takes a turn for the worst in this dark comedy. Alma and Carmen thought it would be nice to get to know their neighbors but when one of the neighbor kids brings a baby chupacabra to the party bad things happen.

Set in the inlet shores of northern California on the verge of the first storm, after many years of drought, El Niño is a contemporary adaptation of Ibsen's Ghosts. The sins of the father are slowly revealed to a son left to reconcile them before the rain washes him away.
